Sharf Putting Together Strong Campaign Team
Thursday, May 8, 2008

Joshua Sharf is putting together a staff of seasoned political dynamos for his run for Colorado House District 6. Ruth Prendergrast has joined his team as Campaign Manager and Tom Bearden has come aboard as Advisor and Volunteer Coordinator for the petition drive.

Ruth Prendergrast, a longtime resident of Southeast Denver, has been very active in the Colorado political arena. She has served as precinct committeewoman, District Captain, Denver County Vice-Chairman and Ronald Reagan's Denver Chairman in 1976. This experience created the opportunity for a successful two-term bid to the Colorado State legislature in then House District 9, which is the same as present House District 6. Most recently, Ruth served on Mike Coffman's successful campaign for Secretary of State. She is currently an active member of the Colorado Union of Taxpayers, Colorado Republican Business Coalition, the Colorado Black Republican Forum, Jewish Republicans of Colorado and the National Republican Hispanic Association.

"I am very excited to be working on the Sharf campaign," says Prendergrast. "if anyone can win the seat, it's Joshua. He's got a brilliant mind and a clear vision for the issues that are important to Coloradoans."

Tom Bearden is a Republican Party activist who has worked on numerous political campaigns in Colorado and New Mexico. He excels at building grass-roots support and coalitions for conservative candidates, and helping to elect Republicans to office at all levels. He has managed campaigns, worked as a regional and field coordinator for state-wide campaigns, and has held county leadership in the Republican Party.

"We have a unique opportunity to get a qualified and highly principled candidate into the open seat this year," says Bearden. "Joshua has got solid conservative values and will make a great legislator."
