Second Amendment
I am, and have always been, a strong supporter of our 2nd Amendment rights, and consider them a keystone in protecting our other most basic liberties. I myself am proud to hold a Colorado Concealed Carry Permit. Hopefully, this summer, the Supreme Court will formally recognize that the 2nd Amendment enshrines an individual right, marking a major milestone in settling this case law in our favor.
I will work to ensure that Colorado remains a "Shall Issue" concealed carry state, and will oppose any efforts to restrict or roll back our 2nd Amendment protections. This includes opposing efforts to extend the number or size of so-called "Gun-Free Zones," which have proven to be among the most reliable locations for mass shootings in the country.
