06.03.08 Dear Supporters and Friends, The Signatures are IN! Last week, my campaign turned in 958 signatures to the Secretary of State! We are now extremely confident that they will certify the petitions, and I will be on the ballot! It's been a long effort to get there, but one that shows our commitment to this race and to winning in the fall. I want to sincerely thank all the volunteers — over twenty of them — who put in evenings and weekends, walking precincts and introducing the campaign and me to their neighbors and to the district. It was also a terrific way to meet people, learn about what's on the voters' minds, and to get to know the district from the ground up. Everyone's favorite Denver Post columnist, David Harsanyi, will be the speaker at the Leadership Program of the Rockies Monthly Breakfast on June 6. I look forward to taking part in the five-way Capitol Hill United Neighborhoods Candidates' Forum on June 16 at the historic Tears-McFarlane House, in one of Denver's oldest and most diverse neighborhoods. My close friend and campaign supporter, Dr. Neil Dobro, will be the speaker at the monthly dinner of the Jewish Republicans of Colorado on June 19. Neil, the founder of Americans Against Terrorism, will be speaking on Israel's Prospects Against Terror for the Next 60 Years.
