05.07.08 Dear Supporters and Friends, We are almost there! We are close to meeting our goal of getting on the ballot and we WILL get there, but we need YOU for our final push. I still need your help, as we run hard to win first the primary and then the election. We are actively looking for more volunteers, petitioners, and financial support. But first, the news. So much has been happening here on the campaign and even more exciting times are coming up ahead. The signatures are rolling in as the campaign gathers momentum, kind of like that big stone ball at the beginning of Raiders of the Lost Ark. Follow the progress on our SharfColorado.com as we raise the temperature of the race! I was fortunate to attend Senator John McCain's Health Care Town Hall at the Denver JCC last Friday. While a President McCain and a Representative Sharf might differ on a number of issues, I found the senator to be straightforward and sincere, with good conservative instincts. My extended impressions of the event are here on my blog. Doing the math: I've been on a few radio programs (other than my usual gig on Backbone) recently. On the Luke Shilts Show on 1310 KFKA last Wednesday, I discussed the money issues that are so important to Coloradoans and did some "political math." You can listen to the interview here. I'll be talking about more of the issues facing Coloradoans on the Mike Rosen Show on 850 KOA, early next week; (check back soon on SharfColorado.com for the specific date). More talking, less walking: I've starting meeting with precinct captains and other District 6 luminaries and I'm extremely encouraged by their response. Party regulars are galvanized by the chance to field a capable candidate in a year with an open seat in the House. We are putting together a dynamite team for the upcoming primary! I'm proud to have received endorsements from four extraordinary individuals whose opinions I value and deeply respect, Richard V. Allen, Bob Schaffer, Hugh Hewitt, and John Andrews.
